The Obafemi  Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association (UNIFEMGA) is to honour 22 of its members for their achievements and contributions to the development of the association.

In a statement issued by Prof Wahab Egbewole and Abdur-Rahman Balogun, National President and Public Relations Officer respectively, stated that the third in the series of the honours' day will hold in Ilorin, Kwara state capital on Saturday Feb. 16.

The theme of this year's event is "Managing Success Through Innovation".

The 22 recipients include two  serving Vice Chancellors,  seven Professors, One Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), two Permanent secretaries, 7 Ph.D. holders, one Justice of the Court of Appeal, retired Commissioner of Police and a member for dedicated service to UNIFEMGA.

The Vice Chancellors are Prof Saburi Adesanya of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye and Prof Musbau Akanji of Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna while the SAN is Alhaji Abeny Mohammed as well as Justice of the Court of Appeal, Justice Adewale Abiru.

The statement stated  that the Guest Speaker, Prof Abdulrasheed Na'Allah, Vice Chancellor, Kwara State University  would speak on the theme of the event while Alhaji Isiaka Gold,  the Secretary to Kwara State government, would be the chairman of the occasion.

UNIFEMGA said those to be honoured were carefully selected and have excelled themselves in various fields of human endeavour.

The two –day event would also serve as a mini-reunion of members as there would be a National Executive Committee meeting (NEC) of the association to be hosted by Malam Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN). (END)
