KWASU VC Applauds JAMB Registrar for Addressing 2025 UTME Challenges
Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has praised the sincerity and proactive approach of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Emeritus Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede, FNAL, in addressing issues arising from the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
In a letter to the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Jimoh commended Prof. Oloyede's public apology and accountability for errors that compromised the conduct of this year's exam in some centres. He also highlighted the Registrar's decision to allow affected candidates to retake the exam free of charge as an "exemplary" response.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that these actions reflect Prof. Oloyede's leadership and affirm JAMB's integrity, which is critical in evaluating candidates for admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions.
"KWASU appreciates the sincerity and promptness with which JAMB addressed the matter and laid the facts bare to the concerned public. This will allay the fears of parents and candidates and ensure the integrity of the examination body remains intact.
"You have written your name and that of JAMB in the annals of history as responsible institutions worthy of emulation by people and organisations.
It is our prayer that Allah grants you the strength to continue to serve Nigeria and humanity," Professor Jimoh added.
