Ajikobi Cottage Hospital Gets 24-Hour Power with Solar Upgrade

Date: 2025-03-29

The Kwara State Hospital Management Board (KWHMB) has reiterated its commitment to providing essential amenities for quality healthcare delivery to all residents, following the installation of a 10KVA solar inverter at Ajikobi Cottage Hospital in Ilorin West Local Government Area.

Executive Secretary Dr. Abdulraheem Malik announced the upgrade today, confirming that the hospital now enjoys 24-hour power supply. He emphasised that the solar inverter installation would significantly enhance healthcare services for the local community.

“This initiative ensures uninterrupted power, which is critical for effective medical care. It reflects our broader goal to prioritise accessible and reliable healthcare infrastructure across Kwara State,” Malik stated.

According to the Executive Secretary, the installation was born out of the recommendation of the Kwara State Hospital Management Board after conducting a thorough needs assessment of the hospital.

He assured that the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq will extend these good gestures to all the facilities across the state.

He urged the entire staff of the hospital to take charge of the maintenance of the solar inverter so that it would serve the purpose for which it was installed.

He concluded by assuring that the Kwara State Government is working actively to upgrade all hospital structures.
