The Osolo community in Ajase-Ipo in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has warned unsuspecting members of the general public to be wary of antics of some people in the area who allegedly offer to sell portions of the family land.

A statement signed by Olasehinde Adeseko and made available to  Community News in Ilorin on behalf of the representative of the Osolo family, Alhaji Mohammed Osolo, said that none of the members of the family has been authorised to sell a piece of land owned by the family.

The leadership of the community said that its attention had been drawn to the purported sales of an expanse of land owned by Osolo family at Ajase-Ipo comprehensive High School fish pond to unsuspecting members of the public.

It also advised people to be cautious in their dealings on matters relating to sale of land in the area in order not to lose their hard-earned money after falling into wrong hands.

The statement also said that those people who go about offering the family land for sale neither represented the family nor their interest to sell the land, adding that they do not have any authority to sell the land.

The statement disclosed that the community had informed the traditional ruler of the area, Woleola-Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Sikiru Atanda Sanni, adding that no one can sell what does not belong to him.

The community also implored people to stay clear from the land, saying that family members of Osolo was not interested in selling the land.
