Shooting Stars captain Malomo apologises for expulsion against Kwara United

Date: 2023-11-16

Shooting Stars captain, Malomo Ayodeji has apologised to his teammates after he was sent off in Sunday's matchday eight contest against Kwara United.

The midfielder opened scoring for the Oluyole Warriors in the 44th minute of the encounter.

Malomo was however sent off in second half for retaliation.

Alao Mohamed equalised for Kwara United two minutes from time.

Malomo in his apology message, expressed regrets over his action, which he said was borne out of provocation.

“I sincerely want to apologise for Sunday's incident, for what I put the team through,” he told the club's media.

“It's something I should have avoided but sometimes, we lose our cool as human beings and I was just a victim of that last Sunday.”

“To the Technical Adviser, the coaches, my teammates, backroom staff and most importantly our fans and supporters, I'm very very sorry,” he added.
