Nigeria at 63: We must build a nation we can all be proud of – Kwara Speaker
The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the nation's 63rd independence anniversary and commended their resilience thus far.
Danladi-Salihu in his independence message to Nigerians harped on the need to remain supportive (to Nigerian leaders), patriotic, committed and dedicated to building a nation everyone would be proud of.
“Dear compatriots, It's with great pleasure that I congratulate you on this auspicious occasion of the nation's 63rd independence anniversary. Sixty-three years since Nigeria gained her sovereignty, there have been challenges and success stories to tell as our leaders continue to strive hard to make sure Nigerians continue to enjoy dividends of democracy”, the Speaker noted.
“Our unity and diversity expressly enunciate our strength, needless of rhetorical amplification. Let us remain patriotic, committed and dedicated to the common goal of making Nigeria the best place anyone can be proud of in Africa and beyond”, he added.
“I want to commend Nigerians for their resilience and appeal for more patience, understanding and support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mallam Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq as they steadily harnessed all resources and throughput to find lasting solutions to the current challenges facing us, especially the effect of fuel subsidy removal that has affected all and sundry”
“On behalf of my humble self, the Kwara State House of Assembly, and the APC Conference of Speakers, I congratulate Nigerians and I wish them a happy independence anniversary”.
