20,000 Parents Participate In Kwara Flagship Education Programme
Over 20,000 parents and teachers have participated in the Kwara State flagship education programme called, “KwaraLEARN.”
KwaraLEARN is a programme that aims to improve learning outcomes for all children in public schools across the state, while transforming government primary schools into powerful public schools, using an innovative technology and data-driven platform, coupled with high-quality learning materials.
The programme which was held recently across 860 public primary schools in the state brought over 20,000 parents and teachers to mark the end of the term 2 academic session.
It allowed parents and teachers to engage in meaningful discussions about their children's academic progress and overall development.
During the conference, teachers and parents engaged in meaningful discussions about the pupils' behaviour, social skills, and emotional well-being, emphasising the importance of holistic development and ensuring that each child is receiving the necessary support to reach their full potential.
Kenneth Adejoh, a grandfather of a primary 3 KwaraLEARN pupil, Glory Adejoh at Bishop Smith LGEA School A, commended the teachers for their dedication and hard work in improving his granddaughter's academic performance.
He expressed gratitude to the Kwara State government and the KwaraLEARN team for the innovative approach to education.
“Everything has changed. I have noticed significant changes since the last time my own biological children attended this same school; I can see improvements.
“What they are learning now is totally different from the olden days. My granddaughter's performance has skyrocketed. This KwaraLEARN programme is a really good development that I highly appreciate,” he said.
