Kwara United defender, Isiaka Oladuntoye is positive that his side are ready to challenge for the NPL title in the coming 2012/13 season.

Oladuntoye, 22, told supersport.com that United's new gaffer, Samson Unuanel is capable of steering the Afonja Warriors to success in the 2012/13 season which is tentatively fixed to kick off before the start of the 2013 Afcon in South Africa.

United have never won any major title since their formation, but Oladuntoye is confident that the Afonja Warriors now have what it takes to become champions in the coming season.

"I have never been decorated also with the Premier League medal and it would be great for my career to win the NPL trophy with Kwara United.

"Unuanel is capable considering all the players he signed and me and my teammates can't wait again for the league to start because we want to deliver," the former Offa United skipper said.

Oladuntoye, who last season began his Premier League career with Kaduna United, added that himself and his teammates will work assiduously hard next term but appealed to United fans to eschew violence.

"We were banished to Abuja last season because of the fight between our fans and Sunshine Stars in which we suffered the consequence and struggled till the end of the season. I don't want that to happen this coming season and I want our fans to comport themselves in any situation," he said.

Kwara United finished as sixth best on 52 points last term.
