One killed, six others injured in Ilorin multiple road crash

One person died, while six others were injured in a multiple road crash in Ilorin, Kwara state capital on Monday.

The accident, which occurred at about 1820 hours at Coca-Cola junction on Asa Dam road, involved a crane vehicle, a tricycle and a commercial vehicle.

According to the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Kwara state command, Frederick Ade Ogidan, who confirmed the development, eight people were involved in the accident.

He said six persons were injured, comprising five males and one female, while one male was killed in the crash.

Ogidan disclosed that the injured victims were taken to the Oke-Oyi University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
