Voting: APC candidate urges INEC to improve on logistics
MAGAJI Oba Abdulkadir, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Magaji Ngeri in Kwara, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to improve on its logistics system to ease voting for the electorate on March 11.
Abdulkadir, who is seeking to represent Ilorin Central in the state House of Assembly in the upcoming Governorship and State Assembly elections, made this known while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Ilorin.
He said INEC should ensure election process starts at the specified time in the various polling units so that collation exercise would be done under a good weather that will not require hiring generator to power light for the INEC officials.
He however ascribed the victories recorded across board for the APC at the presidential election to the good performance of Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, saying people voted massively for his party to show their appreciation.
Abdulkadir, who is riding on his late brother's ticket, said being a lawyer, he's a good candidate to represent his people in the legislature to make laws that would better their lives for good.
He also revealed that his paramount agenda would be to ensure his people are well taken care off particularly widows and the less privileged within his first 100 days in office.
He urged the Commissioner of Police, Mr Paul Odama, to ensure that more security agents were provided for each polling unit in the March 11 governorship and state assembly polls in the state.
He also appealed to the residents of Kwara to vote massively for APC candidates from top to down.
