General Election: Collation Of Results To Begin In Kwara State
The collation of last Saturday’s general election results will commence by 10 am Sunday, 26 February at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, North Central Nigeria.
In a statement by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Garba Madami said the collation of the Kwara Central Senatorial District election would hold at the state INEC Collation Center in Ilorin while that of Kwara North Senatorial District would hold at Bode Saadu headquarters of Moro local government and that of Kwara South Senatorial District would take place at Omu Aran in Irepodun local government.
According to Madami, only political party agents, security operatives, media and election observers will be allowed into the collation centre.
Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections were held peacefully across the state.
Kwara State consists of three senatorial districts with sixteen local government areas and one hundred and ninety-three wards.
