Kwara Assembly confirms one commissioner nominee, postpones another

The Kwara State House of Assembly on Tuesday screened and confirmed Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence as a commissioner for the state's cabinet.

The House, however, postponed the screening and confirmation of another nominee, Adenike Harriet Afolabi Osatimehin, until another date.

No reason was given for the postponement of Osatimehin's screening.

Speaker of the House, Engr. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, directed the clerk of the House, to communicate the confirmation of Olasumbo Florence to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq accordingly.

DAILY POST recalls that names of the two commissioner nominees were transmitted to the House last week for screening and confirmation by the House.
