Re - One feared killed as cultists invade Kwara Poly campus

Date: 2021-08-26

Attention of the Kwara State Polytechnic Authority has been drawn to a publication by an online media; "informant 247" on the above refers.

The Authority of the Polytechnic wishes to state categorically that the publication is malicious, untrue and baseless.

The incident neither occurred at the Polytechnic Mini campus, nor was the person involved a student of the Polytechnic, rather a Security guard that manned the gate of University of Ilorin, Mini Campus.

It was also confirmed that the University of Ilorin swung into action immediately after the incident by inviting Police officers to man the gate and checked both pedestrians and vehicular vehicles movement.

It is true that the Polytechnic Management approved a week celebration of Academic session for this year "Students Week" to ease off academic stress before the commencement of the Second Semester Examinations, and the Students have been modest in their celebration by avoiding all acts capable of soiling the reputation of the Polytechnic.

The Polytechnic Management wishes to put the record straight that the atmosphere on the two Campuses of the Polytechnic is calm and peaceful as it has always been without any threat to lives and property of both Staffers and Students as all hands are on desk to maintain peaceful Academic environment.

The Management also enjoined the Polytechnic Students to always be law abiding and be good ambassadors of the Polytechnic at all time as they prepare for their forthcoming examinations which begins next week.

The Polytechnic Authority also wishes all the Students success in their examinations.
