Two killed during clash between rival cults in Ilorin

Two suspected cultists have been killed in Ilorin, Kwara state following a renewed supremacy cult clash that ensued between "Eiye" and "Aiye" confraternity.

Radio Nigeria investigations revealed that the men were killed in Ipata and Amilengbe areas of Ilorin metropolis.

It was gathered that about 10 cultists were said to have stormed the Gambari area of Ilorin late Monday night where they were said to be searching for a member of a rival group in the area.

Sources said upon reaching the area and not able to locate their target, the suspected cultists resulted to vandalism.

Confirming the incident, the Spokesman of Kwara state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi said efforts are on to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.

He said all divisional Police Officers have been directed to ensure aggressive patrol of the state to prevent future occurrence
