Kwara APC warns Lai Mohammed Over Unguarded Utterances

Date: 2021-02-18

The All Progressives Congress(APC) in Kwara State has advised the embattled Minister for Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed to refrain from discrediting the seamless registration and revalidation exercise in the state in an attempt to boost his dwindling political fortunes which has been further pummeled by his unguarded utterances during his party revalidation exercise at Oro, in Irepodun local government area.

In a statement issued by the state Publicity Secretary, Tajudeen Folaranmi, the party stated that the unguarded utterances of the minister was politically disparaging.

The party condemned the minister for instigating violence by discrediting the party registration exercise when he actually had a peaceful and seamless revalidation exercise.

To now turn and state that his reckless demands are the irreducible minimum requirements for peace and progress in the Kwara APC is condemnable.

"Conversely, with this faux pas, Lai and his dream merchants have lost much goodwill from the party faithfuls in kwara state.

"It is rather too late for him to cover the mistakes of two years of imposition of the suspended Chairman, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa by running from pillar to post dishing out monies and sponsoring youth groups and urchins to disrupt party activities in the state, especially the stakeholders engagement disrupted at the Banquet Hall prior to the membership registration and revalidation exercise.

" He started the crisis in kwara State, by now we should be talking of a united APC in kwara and not tendencies. Even at that, his tendency and his allies did all they could to frustrate the victory of the Governor but the will of God prevailed over their evil machinations. But since he has decided to fight God that announced AA.

We shall see how far he can go.

" We regard Lai's preaching of schism and profanity using the federal government's information organs to attack the ruling party's programme as heretic and political obscenity.

"This craze for peddling political junk should be sanctioned by the national organ of the APC.

"We shall continue to respond appropriately to all his antics . We have only one governor and one leader of the party in the state.

Wrestling power with the governor is political aberration. That, we are going to resist vehemently, his media war notwithstanding.

" Yet, we must thank our Governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for his laudable political leadership in kwara State. We equally thank him for the various infrastructural upgrades in the state.

" We want to charge all kwarans to sustain the process of reclaiming Kwara from the usurpers who do not believe in the welfare of the commoner and the development of the state.
