Appointment of New VC was Legal and Approved - Unilorin Registrar
Oyeyemi urged people to make sure they find out details before spreading rumors stating that many people did not know that the law has changed thereby giving the University council the council the autonomy of appointing the Vice Chancellor and thereby inform the president.
She urged people to make sure they get details and accurate information before they talk about issues as it is very important. The registrar said the change of leadership in the University does not mean the rules and regulations would not be enforced while sounding a note of warning to all staff and students of the institution that the struggle has just began.
Oyeyemi said the team that with the immediate past Vice Chancellor is still on ground and would work together with the new vice chancellor to sustain the high level of discipline. She said the management would ensure that all that is need to be done is executed as and when due.
Oyeyemi said the laws are existing and as such students must ensure they deficiently dress and ensure they make use of their identity card all the time. While describing the new Vice Chancellor as cool and firm the first female registrar of the university said the University has a team of staff who are very passionate about the University stating that they will go on working to achieve the desired goal and remain on top. She described the last five years at the University as very eventful with lots of achievements stating that when one puts in an effort and it materializes one gets total satisfaction and fulfillment.
Oyeyemi described the immediate past Vice Chancellor as one who has been part of the University almost right from its inception stating that he was able to properly lead the University.
Oyeyemi said it is believed that in the next five years there would be more interesting and better stories to be told.
