COVID-19: Kwara State Deputy Governor tests negative

Date: 2020-07-11

Kwara State Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Technical Committee on Coronavirus, Mr Kayode Alabi has tested negative to COVID-19.

According to his Chief Press Secretary Modupe Joel, the deputy Governor took the test yesterday along with all his staff, as part of measures to curb the spread of the disease.

Joel said the results of the tests of staff of the Deputy Governor's Office are being awaited.

Mr Alabi, therefore, urged the public to take responsibility and obey all the safety protocols to contain the virus.

It would be recalled that most officials of the state government particularly those that had recent close contacts with the late Chief of Staff to the state governor, Alhaji Adisa logun who died recently of complications from COVID-19 went on self-isolation.
