Kwara To Begin Testing Of Vehicles For Gas Emission
The Kwara State government will from March 1, 2012, commence the testing of vehicles for the release of gaseous substances as part of efforts to mitigate the challenges of climate change in the state.
To achieve this goal, the state’s commissioner for Environment and Forestry, Mr. Samuel Bamisaiye, has been meeting with stakeholders to enlighten them on the programme.
The commissioner announced the planned testing of vehicles for gaseous emission during a meeting with members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and those of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Ilorin, the state capital.
