Ilorin popular pastor, one other arrested over ritual allegation

A popular Ilorin cleric, Ojo Odenusi (better known as Pastor Finanjo) of Isimi Oluwa Church, Ganmo, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State was last Friday arrested over ritual allegations, National Pilot has learnt.

Recall that a 27-year-old herbalist, Olayinka Abass Akeem was last Tuesday arrested with seven human skulls and paraded by the Kwara State Police Command on Thursday.

According to the suspect, he was pressurised by his accomplice simply identified as Tunde (aka Bante) who was said to be at large, to carry out the illicit act.

Findings by this medium last night however revealed that the alleged mastermind behind the exhumation of the human skulls, Tunde had been accosted and arrested alongside Pastor Odenusi, who hails from Ondo State, at different locations.

According to a resident of Ganmo, who does not want his name in print, men of the state police command invaded the area asked and subsequently whisked away the pastor for his involvement in the crime.

Speaking further, the source said the cleric has been taken to the police headquarters for interrogation at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligent Department (SCIID).

It was also gathered last night, that the alleged chief culprit of the crime, one Tunde otherwise known as Bante was arrested by Intelligent Officers at Dugbe area, Ibadan where he had been hiding for about a week.

According to police source, investigation led the intelligence officers to the suspect’s Dugbe home as security operatives were placed on surveillance within the area before they finally arrested Tunde.

The source stated that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to have committed the crime, adding that he was at Igbo Owu Muslim Cemetery last Tuesday along side one Olayinka Abass Akeem to exhume seven human heads.

“The suspect also confessed that after he evaded arrest along Ajase Ipo road, he headed to Ganmo and eloped with his family to Dugbe, where he was finally arrested.

“It was Tunde who named the pastor as their client who they deliver human parts to,” the police source divulged.
