Sallah: Kwara Speaker cautions against unguarded utterances
Ahmad observed that hate speech would do no good in helping the country out of its present predicament but further endanger Nigeria's existence and complicate various issues that are begging to be attended to .
The speaker, in a Sallah message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir to congratulate Muslims for the bounties Eid-el-Kabir celebration reiterated that the nation's survival is more than ever being threatened with series of agitations springing from the country's nooks and crannies .
While calling on various groups with demands to approach the issues with calm, the legislator also charged the Federal Government to dialogue with the affected people with a view to arriving at a best solution in the overall interest of the nation.
He also enjoined Nigerians to tolerate one another regardless of religious and ethnic differences, noting that citizen's selflessness and perseverance would help the country to develop and in no distant time catch up with other developed worlds.
Ahmad further stressed that Nigeria's existence as indivisible nation is sacrosanct; imploring that nothing must be left unturned to address whatever challenges that could destabilise the country's peace and stability.
He, however, challenged Muslim faithful to use the period of Eid-el-Kabir to pray fervently to Allah for Nigeria to overcome political, economy and other various challenges being experience of.
The Speaker who also charged them to use the festivity to pray for good health for President Muhammadu Buhari as he recuperates advised them to celebrate modestly and not engage in activities that could disrupt the peace in the society.
Quoting the holy Qur'an chapter 22:37, he said: ''It is not their meat nor their blood, that reaches Allah: it is your piety that reaches him: He has thus made them subject to you, that ye may glorify Allah for His Guidance to you and proclaim the good news to all who do right".
"The slaughtering of animal is a personal sacrifice by sharing their limited means of survival with the poor members of their communities ."
He also pledged to Kwarans that the cordial relationship enjoyed between the second tier of government and the executive would be sustained, saying that the lawmakers as the people representatives have always work in the interest of their Constituents and the state.
