Two persons, Jamiu Suleiman, 20 of Ile Orokan and Alhaji Jimoh Rara, 65 of Ile Olu-Ode both of Share, Kwara State, who allegedly conspired with five others now at large and shot five people to death have been arraigned before an Ilorin Magistrate Court.

The accused allegedly went to the farm of the deceased at Obadare Village, via Share, Kwara State, where they shot them to death. They had appeared before the court on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, contrary to Sections 97 and 221 of Penal Code Law and have since been ordered to be remanded at the Federal Medium Security Prison, Mandala, Ilorin.

The accused were arrested following a report on August 2 at Divisional Police Headquarters, Share, Kwara State, by one Suleiman Issah Obadare Village, via Share, Kwara State, that while he was at his farm to harvest his crops he heard sound of motorcycles coming towards him. According to him, after few minutes he saw Jamiu Suleiman (first accused) and five others ridding on three separate motorcycles with two people on each moving towards his brother, Issah Aliyu's farm.

He stated further that not quite long, he heard gunshots in the direction of his brother's farm. When he got to his farm, he allegedly met his five brothers, Issah Aliyu, Mohammed Saba, Kadri Madu, Mumuni Madu and Mohammed Issah lying dead in their pool of blood with bullet wounds on their bodies.

Police First Information Report (FIR) stated that investigation conducted at the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Ilorin, revealed that the accused both of Share criminally conspired with Taiye Azeez, Teslim Olupako, Habib aka Habisc, Usman Dunkun and Toheed Alapata now at large while armed with guns, attacked the deceased all indigenes of Tsaragi while they were farming at Obadare Village, via Share, Kwara State, which resulted into their death.

The FIR added that further investigation led to the recovery of English made double barrel gun with number 222EL, a single locally made barrel gun, two locally fabricated dane guns, a live cartridge and two expended cartridges.

The prosecutor, Sergeant Adewumi Johnson informed the court that investigation into the case was still on going toward the arrest of other suspects at large. Magistrate B.A. Immam, who presided over the matter stated that the alleged offences were capital in nature and not ordinarily bail able. Consequently, he upheld the submission of the prosecutor, as he ordered that the accused be remanded at the Federal Medium Security Prison, Mandala, Ilorin, till August 29 when the case would come up for further mention.
