The accused allegedly went to the farm of the deceased at Obadare Village, via Share, Kwara State, where they shot them to death. They had appeared before the court on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide, contrary to Sections 97 and 221 of Penal Code Law and have since been ordered to be remanded at the Federal Medium Security Prison, Mandala, Ilorin.

The accused were arrested following a report on August 2 at Divisional Police Headquarters, Share, Kwara State, by one Suleiman Issah Obadare Village, via Share, Kwara State, that while he was at his farm to harvest his crops he heard sound of motorcycles coming towards him. According to him, after few minutes he saw Jamiu Suleiman (first accused) and five others ridding on three separate motorcycles with two people on each moving towards his brother, Issah Aliyu's farm.
