Olupako's Elevation: Shaare Indigene lauds State Government
Indigenes of Shaare of Ifelodun local government in Kwara state have expressed their sincere appreciation to Kwara state government for the elevation to the position of a first class of their King, Oba Abubakar Garba Dosunmu the Olupako of Shaare land.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of Shaare Patriotic Movement, Lagos branch, Alhaji Abdulahi Yemi Lawal, on behalf of the indigenes of the community in Lagos, he did give kudos to the state government under the able leadership of his Excellency Governor Abdul-Fatah Ahmed for the bold step he has taken in putting the king in the right position and place he belongs like other Igbomina Kings in the state.
He said, "This is a welcome development for the people of Shaare in Kwara state and this we believe will bring great development to our noble land. Also, we would like to use this opportunity to implore the state government in finding a lasting solution to boundary issues confronting our community with the neighboring town. What the Shaare people want is peace and with the new class our Oba has gotten, we are grateful and we look forward to seeing more developments in terms of infrastructural developments in the community."
He stressed further that the citizen of the town on their part shall continue with their support for the state government in the discharge of their civic right.
It would be recalled that eight obas were elevated to the position of first class in Kwara on Monday including the Olupako of Shaare, Oba of Ilofa, Oba of Osi and 5 others across the state.
