It also expressed satisfaction with the recent successes of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service which has collected about 8.09 billion naira in the first half of the year as against 7.2 billion naira realised by the former board for the whole of last year.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Media & Communications, Dr Muyideen Akorede told UNILORIN FM during a special programme on recent developments in the state.
Akorede also disclosed that the International Vocational Centre, Ajase Ipo will become operational and the indoor of the State Stadium will be brought to the standard of the main bowl.
He said the state will soon have a diamond underpass at Geri Alimi ''which will be the second in the whole of Nigeria apart from Abuja in the next two years.''
The Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Media & Communications also added that Sango-UITH-Oke Ose road and Michael imodu – Ganmo Road which are federal roads will be dualised while the Governor will also open new campuses for the Kwara State University in Osi & Ilesha Baruba.
He also expressed the state government's desire to turn the state owned media houses to First class digitalised media houses with a condusive environment to work.
