Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS) has offered a 17 year-old secondary school final year female student, Sekinat Motunrayo Abdulkabir scholarship for her university education.

Sekinat Abdulkabir a author of a book title "The lazy Man and his Family", would be officially presented with a letter to that effect on May 5 at the premise of Kwara State Internal Revenue office Ilorin, the state capital.

The award according to the chairman of KWIRS, Dr. Muritala Awodun, was in recognition of her forays into writing. While announcing the scholarship at the formal presentation of the young author's book held at Model Secondary School Ilorin, Dr. Awodun said the programme would encourage other young students with lofty dreams to attain their desired goals.

He expressed delight over the success of the book launch, while describing the author as very resourceful and determined diligent student in spite of daunting challenges. He advised other potential writers to develop and sharpen their skills to bring their dreams to fruition.

The KWIRS Boss charged the students to have self confidence, pointing out that those who shun laziness always excel in life. He praised the young author for setting a pace as a secondary school student, adding that she has become a role model for her peers and admonished parents to encourage their children with creative ability to realize their potentials.
