Saraki deserves our support - Kwara OPC new Coordinator
The Kwara State coordinator of Oodua People's Congress (OPC), Comrade Ganiyu Oladipo has expressed displeasure over the continued trial of the Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki by the Code of Conduct Tribunal(CCT) adding that it is purely a politically motivated issue not in the interest of the people but satisfying selfish motives.
Oladipupo who spoke shortly after their monthly congress in Ilorin, advised his members not to join issues with any one calling for Saraki's head because such claims are not only selfish but most of the critics are just envious of his rising profile forgetting the fact that no man can undo what God has done.
The OPC coordinator added that the caliber of personalities like Saraki are not easy to come by in any state and warned that should the state lose this chance of holding the senate seat it would turn out painful because it is not automatic to fill in another Kwaran into the seat.
Ganiyu Oladipo used the opportunity to enlighten all members that whoever God made the leader deserves the support of all those under him because mere wishes never make anyone a leader unless God approves of it.
Speaking with our correspondent after the congress, Oladipo said that he had to caution his members as a stakeholder in Kwara because from his personal experience, leaders face series of blackmail and gossip from their subject most of which are rumours and unfounded claims.
He also commended the State Governor, Alh Abdulfatah Ahmed for his untiring effort to ensure that things augur well for Kwaran despite the global economic recession in which Nigeria is not an exception.
Oladipo added that critics of government cash on the low level of education of the people to misinform them therefore advised government to get closer to the people in enlightening them about goings on their activities to foster mutual trust and respect.
He commended the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari for the several fatherly roles he had been playing within the emirate and surrounding allies, praying for him for long life and in good health.
