Kwara Suspends Employments Over Alleged Discovery of Ghost Workers
The state's Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Muhammad Bawa said the discovery was made by an independent consultancy firm engaged by the state government to look into its workforce.
The commissioner, who addressed journalists yesterday, said there is need to sanitize the employment system in the state.
He lamented that blind and under-aged persons have been collecting salaries from the local government without working.
