In a condolence message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir in Ilorin on Saturday, Ahmad stated that the deceased lawmaker had in no small measure contributed effectively to the nation's development.

Describing late Gurjiya as one of the finest lawmakers at the Kano State House of Assembly, the speaker added that he would be sorely missed by his ?colleagues particularly at the floor.

?He lamented that the deceased died at a time his Constituency, Kano State and the country as a whole seriously still require his services to achieve its desire goals.

Ahmad who expressed his sympathy with the late legislator's family enjoined them to take solace in the fact that Gurjiya lived a worthy life and contributed immensely to political advancement of Nigeria.

The speaker condoled with Kano State Government, the State House of Assembly, the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and the deceased's immediate family, praying that Allah in His infinite mercy grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

He further prayed God to forgive the deceased lawmaker his sins and grant him Al-Janah Firdaus.
