Kwara United storms Ado-Ekiti camp with 40 players
National League side Kwara United have said they will begin their preparations for the new season with 40 new players in their Ado Ekiti camp.
According to the club, their camping will begin on Friday.
Chairman of the club, Oladimeji Thompson, in a statement by the Ilorin club's spokesman, Jimoh Bashir, urged the players to work hard to justify their selection.
"I want to implore you all to be disciplined and that you should obey camp rules as well as the code of conduct of the club given to you," he said.
"Your welfare will be taken seriously in order to get the best out of you. We have a tough season ahead of us and only the best players will be going into it with us. We want to return to the Premier League as soon as possible and your contribution will be key to that dream."
The head coach of the team, Sam Obuh, said the 40 players were selected out of over 400 players who came for trials at the club.
He said, "We had 11-day screening, which featured more than 400 players. These 40 are going to the camp but not all of them will make the team because we will still drop some of them. They are good players but only the best will make the final cut."
