Orji relishes win against Kwara Utd

Date: 2015-08-20

Heartland chief coach Bethel Orji has said he is greatly relieved with the hard-fought victory against Kwara United.

The Naze Millionaires pipped the Harmony Boys 1-0 in Wednesday's Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match-day 24 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Forward Jimoh Oni's match winner in the 37th minute proved adequate to hand the Owerri outfit the three points and a return to winning ways after four straight matches in the wilderness.

Orji said the hard-earned victory against Kwara United will not be a one-off thing but victory that will witness the total rebound of Heartland to reckoning once again.

"I'm hugely relieved with this victory, it's not the best of time going four matches in a row without a win.

"I'm grateful to God and the boys for coming all out to end the four-match winless jinx.

"Today's (Wednesday) victory is a strong indication that there is something positive for us in subsequent matches.

"Heartland are back to winning way again as it will be shown in our next matches.

"We are not going to be complacent but head back to the workshop to correct the mistakes that robbed us of the desired result in the last four matches.

"I'm positive we will come out from the soul searching exercise with a resolve to make amends.

"Of course, it was a difficult match for both sides, Kwara fought hard to redeem the game, but my wards were resolute.

"We are boosted and relieved going into the next matches,"said Orji to supersport.com.

The lone-goal win against Kwara United takes Heartland's total earnings to 35 points, 10 points behind league leaders Enyimba.
