NAWOJ commends Unilorin FM
The National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Kwara State Chapter, has described the University of Ilorin Radio Station, Unilorin 89.3FM, as a station that is indentified with interesting programs and one which lives up to its appellation of being better by far.
The Chairman of the Kwara state chapter of NAWOJ, Binta Abubakar of the Federal radio Cooperation of Nigeria, said this on Thursday, May 17, 2012 when she led a delegation of NAWOJ executive members to Unilorin 89.3 F.M.
In her remarks chairman Binta Abubakar urged Unilorin FM to protect the interest and image of journalists while stating that the station has brought out the Image of the University
In his response, the Station Manager Abdulganiyu Durodola acquainted the NAWOJ members with the activities of the radio station describing all its staff members as dedicated and hard working.
The delegation also visited the Deputy Director of Cooperate Affairs, Kunle. Akogun said he looks forward to a strong working relationship with NAWOJ.
The team of NAWOJ executives included the Chairman Binta Abubakar of the FRCN, Vice Chairman, Florence Adeyemi, of the Kwara State Ministry of Commerce and Cooperatives, the Secretary, Ayobola Olupinla of the Radio Kwara and the Treasurer Fati Aliu of the Kwara State Ministry of Information.
