Yinka Aluko tasks Muslim faithful on righteousness
Aluko made the call on Friday at the commissioning of a Mosque built by members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at the premises of the Ilorin International Airport.
The mosque was commissioned by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and assisted by the NURTW National President, Alhaji Najeem Yasin among other dignitaries.
He enjoined religion leaders to emphasize more on the propagation of Islam in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
This, he said was to eradicate unabated acts capable of undermining the peaceful co-existence of the people of the country.
The Deputy Governorship emphasised on the need for Muslims to be righteous and steadfast in line with the teaching of the Holy Quran.
Aluko also charged youths in the State to always shun violence, stressing that it was an obstruction to the growth and development of democracy.
Sen. Ajibola’s running mate also warned parents and guardians to keep close watch on their children and wards.
He however advised security agencies to beef up security in the State in order to avoid rivalry among supporters of political parties which may eventually lead to clash.
The PDP Chieftain also urged the people to collect and keep their PVCs as that was their weapon to effect a positive change in the state.
Aluko appealed to the people to massively vote for Sen. Simeon Ajibola as the governor and other PDP candidates for positive change in the forthcoming polls.
He therefore admonished PDP supporters across the State to remain committed to the freedom struggle with a view to take over government from APC led government in the state.
Aluko assured the people that the Ajibola/Aluko ticket will not disappoint them when voted into power.
