FEDPOFFA Rector commends Staff of Primary School
Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr. Mufutau Olatinwo, has commended the Management of the Polytechnic Staff Primary School under the leadership of Mrs. Grace Popoola, for feats recorded in recent years.
Dr. Olatinwo spoke through his deputy in charge of academic matters, Mr. Eghe Igbinehi, at a two-day seminar organized by the school to improve professional skills of her teachers.
Meanwhile, Mr. Adeoye Augustine described communicational an important ingredient of effective teaching to bring out the desired results in the pupils.
In a paper delivered at the seminar tagged "The Role of Communication in Effective Teaching and Learning", Augustine of Kwara State School Improvement Team, Education resource Centre, primary school teachers were advised to ensure proper establishment of effective communication with their fctpils, noting that lack of effective communication in teacher-pupils relationship, has had negative impacts on pupils' academy performance.
Augustine said that aside effective communication, there war need for the teachers to adopt child-friendly mechanisms in order to establish strong teachings and instructions.
Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman of the school's board, Mr. Nafiu, had praised the Dr. Otetinwoted management for the dedication towards improving the lots of the staff.
He also commended the staff for being cooperative with the board's drive to make the school an envy of others.
Meanwhile, the Principal of the Polytechnic's Staff Secondary School, Mr. Olayiwola Roberts, l'auded the drive of Dr. Mufutau Olatinwo-led administration towards ensuring that the school sustains the enviable position it presently occupies among her peers, by providing adequate facilities needed for such.
He thanked the management for providing necessary support to facilitate all-round education development.
At the 6th Inter-House sports competition of the school held in the polytechnic Sports Complex, the Principal was full of gratitude for the school's governing board and the Parent Teacher's Association, for their immeasurable contributions to the growth of the school.
The event, which was well attended by important dignitaries, had many secondary schools in Offa Community as participants.
