PDP lost, LP gains, Omotosho adopted as Kwara Guber Candidate.

Ahead of the February election, Labour Party (LP), has adopted Dr Mike Omotosho as it's governorship candidate in Kwara State.

Omotosho left the People's Democratic Party (PDP), citing injustice in his attempt to pick the House of Representative slot in Irepodun, Ekiti, Oke Ero and Isin federal constituency.

Omotosho, a Progressive consultant with broad-based experience in the healthcare sector has consistently extend his gesture to Kwarans in different empowerment programmes.

He organised a one-week medical mission for more than 5000 people in 12 communities in four Local Government Areas of the state in August 2014.

The medical mission covered basic health solutions to improve the quality of lives of the people in the rural areas with free diagnostics, expert advice and provisions of free drugs including wheelchairs to all and sundry.

He has deep knowledge of Business Strategy and Performance competencies of Millennium Development Goals and health commodity logistics.

The pharmacist cum philanthropist has won more than 18 Awards including the Rotary International Significant Achievement award, the coveted Overall Best Club and a mention in the June 2009 edition of "The Rotarian".

He is a National Merit Awardee from the League of Democratic Students and the Resident Envoy for Polio in the Nigerian Development Partners Group.

A recipient of the prestigious 2013 Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Award, he was recently inducted into the All African Students Union Hall of Fame.

The founder of Mike Omotosho Foundation empowered women with N10 million micro credit loan scheme late last year.

The Foundation also trained a total of 300 youths in Computer skills in Kwara South Senatorial district in October 2014.
