You can't profit from our crisis, PDP tells Kwara APC

Date: 2014-11-14

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State on Thursday told the All Progressives Congress (APC) to forget any plans it has of profiting from the internal crisis that has accompanied the outcome of its delegate congress held on November 1, 2014.

State chairman of the PDP, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, who addressed newsmen on the crisis Thursday, said though there were 'tolerable violence' and disagreement that accompanied the exercise, the party was doing its best to handle the matter amicably.

A former chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilorin branch, Alhaji Salman Jawondo had early this week raised the alarm that his name was allegedly removed from the list of elected delegates from his Asa constituency, saying it was meant to pave the way for the emergence of another candidate preferred by the state executives.
