He is seeking a second term in office, as governor of the state, under the platform of the party.

The State Chairman of the Kwara State Chapter of the party, Alhaji Balogun Fulani, along with some party stalwarts were on hand to give the nomination form to the Governor at the Government House, Ilorin, while some government officials looked on.

While speaking at the short event, Gov. Ahmed expressed profound appreciation to all party stalwarts, stakeholders and members of the party, and indeed all Kwarans for the resounding success of the rally held at the Metropolitan Square in Ilorin, during which he declared his intention to run for a second term in office.

He further attributed the success to the unbeatable team work and concerted effort inherent in the party internal structure which, he noted, is as a result of the indefatigable and resourceful leadership of the party leader, Senator Bukola Saraki.

The governor, as a result, opined that this sheer display of unity will play a pivotal role in the forthcoming general elections in the state, hoping that the party will sustain the tempo to enable it win all elective posts in 2015.

Finally, Gov.Ahmed, solicited again for the support of the party, party faithful, and the people of Kwara in his quest for a second term in office.
