Wife Kills Husband With Pestle In Ilorin
An Ilorin Magistrate Court has remanded a housewife, Jumai Bamaiyi, at the federal prison, Oke-Kura, Ilorin, for allegedly killing her husband with a pestle.
The 30-year-old woman was said to have hit her husband, Bamaiyi Aiki, on the head with the pestle after a misunderstanding.
Police arrested the accused when on October 17, 2014, one Garuba Dauda reported at Kaiama Divisional Police station that the accused attacked her husband while he was sleeping in their room.
The Police First Information Report (FIR) stated that investigation conducted at the department of criminal investigation, Ilorin, revealed that the deceased died as a result of injuries inflicted on his head.
The judge, Mr. A. Bello ordered that the accused be remanded at the federal prison, Oke-Kura, Ilorin, pending the determination of investigation and adjourned the case till November 6, 2014 for further mention.
