Date: 2014-08-22

The chairman, Kwara State Coalition of Business and Professional Associations (KWACOBPA), Chief Hezekiah Adediji, has called on the state House of Assembly to urgently pass into law the bill sponsored by the coalition for the establishment of Kwara state Micro-Credit Fund Scheme.

Adediji, who made the call during a media parley in Ilorin, also noted that such law will assist in giving take off business grant to professionals irrespective of political lineage.

According to him, the grant would encourage more businesses to spring up while a lot of the teeming graduates roaming the street will in turn be gainfully employed.

He said if passed into law, the professionals would complement government empowerment programme.

"The professionals will support the government in giving jobs to graduates who are not employed and affiliated to any political party or group for better economic prosperity", he added.

He said the law would also assist the mechanics and other artisans who are not captured in government empowerment programmes.
