Oladuntoye wants Cup title

Date: 2014-05-04

Kwara United captain Isiaka Oladuntoye has signified his intention to help the Afonja Warriors win the Kwara State Federation Cup this weekend.

United will face a serious challenge from their neighbours, ABS as the two foes will go head to head this Sunday in the Kwara State Federation cup final which will be decided at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin.

En route to the final, Kwara United annihilated Offa United 4-0 to set up an interesting final with their fellow National League campaigners, ABS.

Oladuntoye told supersport.com that Kwara United are determined to teach their rivals (ABS) a football lesson this weekend in Ilorin.

"I have never won the State Federation Cup as a captain, and it will be great for me to lift the trophy on Sunday here in Ilorin.

"ABS are a good side and I know that the tie will be tough, but we are the Ilorin landlords and we must beat them in the final," Oladuntoye said to supersport.com

The former Kaduna United strong man is also positive that the Afonja Warriors would get a Premier League ticket this term in the National League.

"The primary assignment given to us this season is to return back to the Premier League and we are in a good position to win one of the two tickets in our group at the end of the season," Oladuntoye explained to supersport.com.

Kwara United have garnered 21 points after 13 games played this term in the National League Group A, and the Afonja Warriors are currently occupying fourth position on the standings.
