Alhaji Umar gave the charge while addressing the staff of the ministry at the conference Hall of the ministry during his maiden meeting with them. He appreciated the warm reception accorded him on resumption which has already testified to their hard-working nature.

The Commissioner appealed to them all to redouble their effort in order not to lag behind in the discharge of their duties.

He also advised the staff to be up and doing,adding that lateness to work and truancy will not be welcome. The commissioner stressed that his coming to the ministry is to contribute his own quota and add value to local Government administration through the ministry.

Earlier,the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaja Sidikat Amasa congratulated the Honourable Commissioner for his appointment and prayed for his success.

She assured him of the total loyalty and co-operation of the staff members and wished him success in the task ahead.

Giving the vote of thanks,the Director personal,Finance and Supply Dr. A. H. Katibi thanked the Honourable Commissioner for finding time to meet with and further assured him of the cooperation of all staff members.
