Ahmed invites Kwarans in Lagos
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has invited Kwarans in Lagos to join hands with him and contribute to the industrial growth and economic emancipation of the state.
Governor Ahmed made-this call during an interactive session with Kwara professionals in Lagos over the weekend.
The Governor, who was voted City People Magazine's Best Governor in the North Central Zone during the fifteenth installment of its annual awards and also co inferred with the Distinguished professional Award by the Kwara professional interrogation of her contribution to agriculture
Development in the state and his faithful implementation of his Shared Prosperity Agenda, assured prospective investors that allied sectors vital for industrial growth such as education and human capital development were receiving utmost attention in the state.
He said an international Vocational Institute was being established at Ajasse-lpo to train high level quality technical personnel not only for the industrial sector in the State, but the international community as well.
"It is disheartening that Nigerians now look up to our West African brothers for some technical jobs because they have better expertise than our people. this will change when their institute takes off in earnesd,
The governor said his administration's pursuit of development of agriculture in the state was borne out of the conviction that it has potentials of enhancing the economic power base of the people and the creation of vast employment opportunities.
He urged Kwarans outside the state to partner with his administration on the development of the State.
Responding, chairman of Kwara Professionals in Lagos, Prince Kolade promised that as professionals in all fields of human endeavour, his members have volunteered to partner with the government in the development of. the state.
The City People Best Governor in North Central Zone Award for Governor Ahmed was received on his behalf by the Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Alhaji Raheem Adedoyin.

He had earlier been voted Best Governor in Northern Nigerian by Global Excellence Magazine and Outstanding Agricultural Development Icon of Year 2011 by the African Leadership Magazine, organizers of the African Development and Industry A wards which took place in Washington DC, United States of America last month.
