The Balogun Gambari Youth Movement Association yesterday organized a special prayer for the political office holders in Gambari District of Ilorin East Local Government area of Kwara State.

The prayer session which held at Karuma Primary School, Karuma area, Ilorin was aimed at seeking for  God's protection and guidance for the newly appointed General  Manager of Kwara United, Alhaji Muhammed Haruna Maigidansama and four councilors representing Ibagun, Gambari I and II as well as Zango wards.

In his sermon on the occasion, Dr Uthman Idris Kankanwi of the University of Ilorin admonished political office holders in the state to justify the confidence people reposed in them by using their various positions of authority to better the lot of masses.

Kankanwi who is a lecturer at the Department of Language, University of Ilorin, described position of authority as an avenue where the occupant integrity is tested.

The don particularly urged the new political office holders from the Gambari District to use their offices to improve the lives of people saying that they should always remember that it is only God that gives and takes position as He so desired.

Leading the prayer session, the Chairman Mission Board of the association, Alhaji Abdulkareem Olesin sought for protection, assistance and support to the political office holders in the district in particular and Kwara State in general in order for them to have a successful tenure of office.

In his comment, the President of Balogun Gambari Youth Movement, Mallam Idris Sulaiman said the idea of organizing the prayer was to seek for Allah's guidance and protection for the new Kwara United General Manager and four councilors from Gambari district.
