Adieu Chief Solomon Daushep Lar - Saraki
Adieu Chief Solomon Daushep Lar- Former Governor of Plateau State and pioneer National Chairman of PDP.
Again, a giant of high order has gone- Dr. Solomon Lar, a former executive governor of Plateau state and pioneer chairman of our great party. As much as we wish to stay long on earth, the inevitability of death limits our effort in its time. Sincerely, I'm saddened with the news of the death of this great leader whose exemplary leadership and landmarks created have become important paths to follow. No doubt, Dr Lar left at a time which he his needed most; because during seasons of political agitation for common interests, the guidance of pioneers are needed in order to brighten the will of the masses and ameliorate our nation.
He will always be remembered for the exemplary humility, great vision, wisdom and maturity which he brought to political leadership in Nigeria for over 50 years as a legislator, Executive Governor, party leader and elder statesman.
Chief Lar lived a long and most fulfilled life, and his immense contributions to communal, state and national development have assured him of a place amongst the eternal heroes of our great nation. Examining the leadership pattern he laid in the party most especially the North Central zone which has created some level of stability and unity in the zone and the founding principles of equity, fairness and justice, progress and accountability which he laid as the pioneer chairman of PDP, Dr Lar will be greatly missed, but importantly, we must uphold his legacies. On behalf of the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District, I sympathize with his family, Governor Jonag Jang, and people of Plateau state, also with members of our party. May God grant us all the strength to bear the loss.
Signed,
Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki
