The Kwara State Sector Commander, Mary Wakawa who made this assertion during an interview with Royal Times correspondent appealed to Kwarans and Nigerians at large to desist from over-taking, smoking, receiving mobile call while driving and take cautions were necessary.

According to her, some roads in the country are bad and dilapidated but it is human beings who have the capacity to control themselves that drive on the road, therefore there is need to take accurate precautions.

Speaking on readiness of the command to ensure that Nigerians remain safe during Sallah Festival and Charismas celebration, Wakawa said advocacy would be taken to traditional rulers, mosques, churches, Schools on road worthiness.

On plate numbers and new drivers' license the Commander explained that the plate number is not new but is an advance of the recent one in order to ensure effective data bank of Nigeria to assist security agencies.

She noted that the tariff of the number plate and drivers license is being handled by Board of Internal revenue.
