Jonathan's rally paralyses Ilorin

Date: 2015-03-26

There was gridlock in many streets of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital while economic activities were temporarily halted on Wednesday as members of the Peoples Democratic Party had a walk show.

The walk was in continuation of efforts to canvass for votes for the PDP presidential candidate, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Commuters, passengers and traders along the streets where the PDP campaign train passed had a hectic time as a result of the gridlock and temporary business lull.

However hawkers of water, ice cream and other items made brisk business as some of the campaigners bought some of the items.

Kwara State PDP Youth Leader, Chief Segun Olawoyin, in an interview with our correspondent, said Jonathan had made great impacts in the lives of Nigerians through delivery of dividends of democracy.

He added that Jonathan has transformed the country both in manpower development and infrastructural development,

He also said that Jonathan would defeat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) in Kwara State.

Olawoyin also said Nigerians should not hold Jonathan responsible for the abduction of women and children from Damasak, Borno State.

He stated that Jonathan had been done his best to contain insecurity in the country.
