Unilorin organises road show for WAUG
Personalities who were part of the road show which lasted for six hours included the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, teaching and non-teaching staff of the university, alumni members, officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and the Kwara State police.
Deputy Director of Corporate Affairs, Dr. Mahfouz Adedimeji, said "the road walk is to create further awareness of the games. You know WAUG is an international event across West Africa. The game is starting on Thursday (today) and last week we were in Lagos to create awareness so we also organised this show to sensitize the city on what is going to happen in Ilorin."
A resident in the community, Mrs. Wunmi Adekoya, who is a trader, said she was only getting to know that such an event was happening in the state and was hopeful it would boost her sales.
