Gov Ahmed mourns Prof Ogunshola
Kwara State Governor, Dr. Ahmed has described as shocking the death of elder statesman and erudite scholar, Prof. Albert Folorunsho Ogunshola.
Dr. Ahmed in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba said the death of Prof Ogunshola marked the eclipse of another shinning light in the political armament of the late Dr. Olusola Saraki political family.
Gov Ahmed, however, added that the ever increasing political family of Saraki political family take solace in the fact that they had the good fortune of learning the virtues of political humility and perseverance from the fountains of late Prof Ogunshola.
The Governor added that even in mourning it was noteworthy that the deceased did not die unsung,unknown and without an imprint in the sand of time.
This he said, should be a huge consolation to all the biological and political children of late Prof Ogunshola that the elder statesman as left behind enduring values for all.
Dr Ahmed prayed God to grant the fortitude to bear the loss of the academic and elder statesman, Prof Albert Ogunshola.
The first professor of in the old Kwara State, Albert Folorunsho Ogunsola died in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 80.
Albert Ogunsola who hailed from Babanlomo, Ifelodun local government area of the state was a political associate of the late kingpin of Kwara politics, Dr Olusola Saraki.
A former commissioner for health in the state and a son of the deceased, Dr Femi Ogunsola confirmed his father’s death, adding that burial arrangements would be announced later.
