The police on Wednesday arraigned a 26-year-old house wife, Bosede Oluwatoyin, before an Ilorin Magistrates' Court for allegedly  stealing N48,000  belonging to her neighbour, Fatai Oladimeji.

The police accused Oluwatoyin of stealing the money from her neighbour’s room on Monday at Oja-Iya Area of  Ilorin.

According to the charge sheet, the accused stole the money,  including some clothes,  which Oladimeji had in the room.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Insp. Christian Koregee,  told the court that the accused person was arraigned on a one-count charge of theft  which contravened Section 288 of  the Penal Code Law.

Koregee said that when the police arrested Oluwatoyin, some of the materials were found on her.

Magistrate  Mariam Mogajim admitted the accused to bail in the sum of  N25, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case to April 8  for mention.
