Beneficiaries of the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation's 2026 WAEC Scholarship Scheme have recorded excellent results in the just-released 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The Foundation, which started with 130 students in 2024, increased to 200 in 2025 and expanded to 300 students across the three senatorial districts in 2026 under the theme "Continuing the Journey, Lighting the Path to Brighter Futures," has continued to ensure that financial challenges do not deny any child access to education.

According to the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Saheed Lawal, the 300 beneficiaries were selected from public secondary schools across all 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State.

Collated results show over 60% of the sponsored students secured 5 credits including English and Mathematics at one sitting.

From Offa Local Government, Aisha Bello of Offa Grammar School who scored 5As and 3Bs said, "I had lost hope when my mother could not raise my WAEC fee. MOK Foundation paid it. Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode gave me a future."

David Olayinka from Ijagbo Baptist Secondary School in Oyun Local Government who had 4As and 4Bs said his parents are farmers and described the foundation as God-sent for ordinary people.

Mariam Yusuf from Agbana Secondary School in Ifelodun Local Government recorded 3As and 3Bs, Tunde Adebayo from Omu-Aran High School in Irepodun Local Government had 4As, 3Bs and 2Cs, Grace Oluwaseun from Owu-Isin Community Secondary School in Isin Local Government scored 3As and 5Bs, Halimat Ibrahim from Oke-Oyan Grammar School in Oke-Ero Local Government had 4As and 4Bs, while Peter Olarewaju from Osi Central Secondary School in Ekiti Local Government had 3As and 5Bs.

From Kwara Central, Fatimah Suleiman of Government Girls Day Secondary School, Oke-Sunna in Ilorin West Local Government said, "I have 5As and 4Bs. My father is a tricycle rider. MOK made a daughter of a common man compete with the rich."

Abdulrahman Idris from Ilorin Grammar School in Ilorin West scored 5As and 3Bs, Adam Suraj Alabi from Government Secondary School Ilorin had 4As and 5Bs, while Ahmed Issa from Afon Secondary School in Asa Local Government scored 5As and 3Bs.

In Kwara North, Musa Jibril from Kosubosu Government Secondary School in Baruten Local Government who scored 3As and 4Bs said, "In my area, many drop out after JSS3. I will be the first to enter university in my family, thanks to MOK."

Rahmatu Mohammed from Patigi Secondary School in Patigi Local Government recorded 4As and 4Bs, Suleiman Bala from Lafiagi Senior Secondary School in Edu Local Government had 5As and 2Bs, Salaudeen Ahmed from Government Secondary School, Kaiama in Kaiama Local Government scored 4As and 3Bs, while Azeezat Jimoh from GSS Shao in Moro Local Government had 5As and 4Bs.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Saheed Lawal said the results are a direct testimony to the effort and vision of the Founder, Qs Alhaji Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, in making sure that the ordinary people have access to education. He stated that the founder believes education remains the strongest tool for change and the most potent weapon against generational poverty, and his instruction has always been to find the poorest, support the brightest and ensure the ordinary people are not left behind.

Parents, teachers and community leaders across the 16 Local Governments of Kwara State have continued to praise the consistency and impact of the scholarship programme, noting that beyond paying WAEC fees, the foundation has also provided JAMB forms and promised tertiary education support.

The 2026 WAEC results of the MOK beneficiaries have proven that when the barrier of examination fees is removed, children of artisans, farmers, market women and okada riders can excel. The success story is a validation that true community development begins with investing in the education of the common man, a vision championed by Qs Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode.
