KW-HMB Inspects Cottage Hospital Ogidi, Pledges Upgrade and Expansion to Boost Healthcare Delivery
The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KW-HMB), led by its Executive Secretary, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, undertook a comprehensive monitoring and supervision visit to Cottage Hospital Ogidi as part of continuous endeavours to reinforce healthcare provision throughout the state.
The visit demonstrates the dedication of the Kwara State Government and constitutes an element of the persistent efforts of the current administration to consistently enhance service delivery for the people of Kwara State.
During the exercise, the entire hospital premises and its surrounding environment underwent thorough examination. The boundary matter affecting the facility was re-examined, with a resolution adopted to hold a meeting comprising all pertinent stakeholders to secure a permanent and mutually satisfactory settlement.
Dr. Malik and his team inspected all clinical and administrative departments, engaging with personnel to evaluate service delivery, infrastructure, equipment, and operational requirements. Following the assessment, the upgrade, expansion, and phased refurbishment of the hospital were all contemplated in light of its strategic significance.
Cottage Hospital Ogidi attends to the Ogidi community and neighbouring settlements, fulfilling a vital function in primary and secondary healthcare provision. The proposed interventions are directed towards bolstering capacity, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring the facility continues to meet the increasing healthcare demands of the populace.
