Senator Saliu Mustapha Condemns Kaiama Massacre, Mourns Victims
Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, has strongly condemned Tuesday evening's terrorist attack on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area that claimed at least 40 lives, including soldiers and forest guards.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the lawmaker expressed deep sadness over the brutal assault on innocent citizens, describing it as a senseless act that highlights the urgent need for greater unity, vigilance, and community-security collaboration to combat insecurity.
He called on residents of the affected communities and across Kwara State to remain calm, support security agencies, and promptly report suspicious activities.
"On behalf of the people of Kwara Central Senatorial District, I strongly condemn these attacks and extend my heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Mu'azu Omar (Bagidi Kiyaru IV), the families of the victims, and everyone affected," Senator Mustapha said.
